In zijn tv-show ‘Later… With Jools Holland’ biedt hij vele artiesten een podium, maar zelf spelen zal hij waarschijnlijk nooit kunnen laten. Niet zelden schuift Jools Holland, begaafd blues- en boogie woogie pianist, tijdens een van zijn shows even achter de piano. Ook keert hij jaarlijks met zijn befaamde Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, dat uit minstens twintig muzikanten bestaat, terug naar Paradiso, voor een tot in de puntjes verzorgde avond vol soul, blues, ska, jazz, pop en natuurlijk boogie-woogie. Dit jaar Gilson Lavis als speciale gast en vocalen van Ruby Turner & Louise Marshall.
