De Nieuw-Zeelandse zangeres Kimbra Johnson is stiekem al wereldberoemd. Ze is namelijk de vrouwenstem in Gotye's wereldwijde hitsingle 'Somebody That I Used To Know'. Vorig jaar bracht Kimbra haar solodebuut ‘Vows’ uit en gaat ook haar carrière vliegend van start. De swingende popmuziek en haar soepele stem klinken als een samensmelting van de talenten die Prince, Björk en Janelle Monaé zo bijzonder maken.
